Area Activities

Whether spending a day or a week, Hoopeston has plenty of activities to keep you busy! Both kids and adults can enjoy a day of fun at Pla Mor Lanes Bowling Alley, Skater’s Paradise, or McFerren Park. Hoopeston has three area parks including the girls softball park, Kids Cheese Park, and the large McFerren Park. Swimming, fishing, tennis, miniature golf, baseball and playground facilities are all offered in McFerren Park. The park also contains a community civic center which has a capacity of five hundred people and can be rented out for large events. Hoopeston also contains two historic buildings which are a must see when visiting the community. Please take some time to visit the Carnegie library or watch a movie at the Lorraine Theatre.  The North Folk Conversation Club is a non-profit organization that provides a variety of outdoor activites for both community residents and visitors.
