Hoopeston Main Street Program

The City of Hoopeston has obtained a Volunteer in Service to America (VISTA), Judi Benjamin, to serve as the full time executive director for the Hoopeston Main Street Program. She will be coordinating all revitalization activities in the downtown district.

The City of Hoopeston has recognized that the downtown district is an important part of economic development in the City. The downtown district creates a sense of place in the community as many businesses are located in the downtown. Click here for more information on why downtown is important.

Hoopeston will be following the Illinois Main Street 4 point approach to undertake a comprehensive revitalization effort in the downtown.
