Community Development

Community residents in Hoopeston are working together to identify the community’s needs, create change, exert more influence in the decisions which affect the lives of all residents in the community, and working to improve the quality of their lives and the community as a whole.

Citizens are actively involved in a variety of activities and committees formed to enhance the community. Residents of all ages are active in enhancing the capacity of the City of Hoopeston. From housing to the mayors youth council to the unmet needs committee to downtown revitalization there are plenty of opportunities for community residents to work together to improve and enhance the quality of life in the City of Hoopeston.
