Brownfield Redevelopment

 

The City of Hoopeston has been working on a Brownfield Redevelopment Project on the corner of Routes 1 and 9 since 2004.  The site was a former trailer court property and has now been designated by the City for the development of a motel.  The City is interested in attracting a developer to build a motel on this designated site owner by the City.  The City of Hoopeston is willing to work with any interested developers to establish a redevelopment agreement as part of the TIF.  Incentives are available for this project.  Currently the closest motel is 25 miles away.  Please contact the Economic Development Director, Dana Goodrum at 217-283-7873 for more information on this development possibility.
